Montse Palacio is Consultant in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department where she works since 2001. She holds a PhD degree in Medicine, and Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. She was awarded a Fellowship for a subspecialization in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University College of London by “La Caixa”. Head of the Obstetric and High Risk Obstetrics Wards and co-responsible of the Fetal Monitoring Unit, she created in 2006 the Prematurity Unit for the management of patients at risk. He has published papers in international and national journals and participates regularly as invited speaker at workshops and congresses.
