Dr. Antoni Borrell is Consultant at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department of the Hospital Clinic in Barcelona and a Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona. He did a clinical fellowship in Fetal Medicine at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London in 1989 and later took two training periods as a fellow at the Karolinska Institute Hospital (Stockholm) and at Brigham & Women's Hospital (Boston). Head of Prenatal Diagnosis and Fetal Hematology Unit, he has worked with a multidisciplinary team to optimize prenatal diagnosis. He has published 58 articles with impact factor (20 as first author) and an editorial comment. He is advisor on prenatal diagnosis to the Health Department in Catalonia and a member of the scientific committee of the International Down's Syndrome Screening Group.
